I have pretty much quite subscribing to that kind of software because the cost mounts up quickly over time. That being said, if you need Parallels virtual machine functionality to run Windows 10 software on your Mac - there is nothing better to do this than I have ever seen.
Beats the crap out of Apple's own Bootcamp which has severe limitations - like playing friendly with some GPU's and other fairly basic stuff. All my Mac peripherals are available and everything on my local network including the NAS's and printers. All this is possible because of the magic of Parallels. Simply incredible software! It will run other OSs within the virtual machine as well including Linux and even another walled off copy of MacOS itself.
It does depend solely on sharing the resources available on your Mac but I have not noticed appreciable problems as long as I don't do heavy concurrent parallel computing with both the Mac and the Windows OSs at the same time I guess that is where the name of the software comes from. Most impressive! I used Apple's free Bootcamp, for over a year, and just couldn't stand it anymore. Rebooting all the time on my iMac with a RPM hard drive was driving me nuts.
In addition, the Windows 10 system on it had developed a driver problem, and it took 2 or three boots to get to not crash. Bought this app, and I couldn't be happier. It was a little challenging moving my Windows license over, but I really enjoyed deleting my Bootcamp partition.
I realize it's a subscription model, but that doesn't bother me in the least. It will be nice knowing that when the newest version of macOS comes out, I'll be able to get the version of Parallels that works with it. Installed Parallels V14 on my Macbook.

Clean, great UI, and just runs smoothly. I plan on purchasing after my trial. What is that for? It says I can run Windows and hense its apps. The instrallation was easy, but the apps that I installed did not work. They show that they do but there is no actual result. For instance, I used GoPro Fusion Studio app, and it opened the applicaiton but the videos thumnails are all black.
